The concept of valor often paints a picture a portrait of selfless heroism. A soldier charging into battle in spite of personal threat, a fireman rushing into a blazing inferno to here save lives - these are the archetypal examples that come to mind. Yet, one must consider a darker facet to this celebrated image: the potential for selfishness inher
